The Antivirus Firm Kaspersky Launches Its Own ‘Hackproof’ OS
The well-known specialist in antivirus and security software company
has announced that they finally have ready its own operating system.
Kaspersky confirmed last October that they were working in a safe to
protect the key systems used in infrastructure and industries.
The CEO of the company Kaspersky, Eugene said that “I’m hoping it’s
obvious by now how protecting the IoT and, of course, critical
infrastructure (industry, transport, telecoms, etc.) from IT threats is
simply mandatory,”.
Hence, the security firm Kaspersky launched a Layer of 3 switch
designed especially for networks with extreme security requirements to
protect your data. It will be the first device to run Kaspersky OS, a
system whose technology is designed to be adapted to the Internet of
things (IoT).
The company says that for a hacker to compromise this new platform
would need to break the digital signature, which is before the
introduction of quantum computers and that would be prohibitively
expensive. Kaspersky OS is based on a microkernel architecture, which
allows various modifications to the operating system depending on the
specific demands of each client.
Another thing we have emphasized is the fact that they have developed
this system from scratch. To prevent anyone assume they have used Linux
as a base, Kaspersky has made clear that its OS does not have one iota
open in the system. They claim that popular distributions are not
designed with security in mind, so for them, it was more easy and safe
to start from scratch and do it all well.
