We all use USB drives and SD cards for
different purposes. But most of the times due to the virus we get our
USB drives and SD cards corrupted or turn into a state where we cannot
edit any files or folders that are available in it, on top of that we
can neither copy or paste anything from the drive.
So this problem will eventually end by destroying the drive and make it useful for nothing.
So in this tutorial, i am going to share
a simple trick to remove Write Protection From USB Or SD Card. In order
to do that make sure your drive is free from all type of viruses
because most of the times even a single virus affected file can cause
the problem.
Scan your pen drive or SD card to get
rid of the virus. And most of the times write protection will be removed
by just scanning. But if the problem still persists then follow the
below procedure.
Step 1. Press Windows Key + R then a Dialog box will appear.
Step 2. Now type Regedit and then hit the enter key that will open the Registry Editor.
Step 3. Now all you
need to do is just move to
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentConrolSet/Control/StorageDevicePolicy”
in the Registry Editor.
After you complete the above step you will see a WriteProtect option. Now click on it and change its value to 0.
This is one of the best ways to protect
your SD card or Pendrive from Write Protect. There are many other
methods out there with different process but this one is easy and works
well.
